Yoga for Rowers, Paddlers, and Dragon Boaters Workshop

This workshop is perfect for those who would like to enhance their rowing and paddling abilities by increasing their flexibility, balance and to strengthen those areas of the body prone for injury; especially when portaging.  The stretching and strengthening posture sequence was designed specifically with rowers and paddlers in mind.  The workshop is being held in partnership with Breathe Into Motion Yoga Studios in Cambridge at 25 Milling Rd, 2nd Floor.  The event will be held on May 8th starting at 1 p.m and will end at 3 p.m.  The cost of the workshop is $10/person.  To register call Breathe Into Motion at 519-651-2300.  You won't be able to find such a great deal for less!  It's a great way to stay in shape and to get ready for the paddling season.  www.breatheintomotion.com

Canoe Courses

The paddling season is upon us and its time to think about polishing our paddling skills or improving them for an even better season. We are offering basic canoeing courses again this year and we are also offering a new ORCKA Canoe Tripping Level 2/3 course. The tripping course will be held on June 11-16. The group will start at Shade's Mills Conservation area for pre trip planning and theory, and then they are off to Algonquin Park for the practical components for the certification.
